Trapani sightseeing

In Trapani you can enjoy the beautiful baroque city center with good shops and fine (fish) restaurants. The centre of Trapani has the harbour and the fish market at the south. Many impressive cruise ships enter here at the harbour.
Egadi-Islands

Egadi Islands lie directly off the coast of Trapani, to reach by hydrofoil boat. Favignana is the most popular and the journey takes you 25 minutes.
The boulevard

Walk along the small boulevard at the old wall, the “Mura Vecchia” towards Torre Ligny at the end of the peninsula. Here you have a great view over the north bay of Trapani especially with all the lights at night and you have here a nice view at Erice.
Visit Erice by cable

Erice by cable from Trapani to 468 miles altitude. Erice is a lovely medieval town on the top of a hill with many souvenir shops.
San Vito lo Capo

San Vito Lo Capo is just a 45 minutes drive from Trapani and is very popular for its beautiful beach and the azure sea. International festivals like the Kite festival and the Cous Cous Festival.
Zingaro

Zingaro nature reserve at an hour’s drive from Trapani. Here are caves to explore and the seawater is phenomenally bright.
Segesta

Visit Segesta by train or by car, about a 25 minutes drive from Trapani, in the interior. Here are ruins, including a temple and an amphitheater.
Shopping in Trapani

In Trapani there are some nice old streets with good shopping facilities. You have to go to via Torrearsa and the via Garibaldi, both in the centre. You can also go to via Giovan Battista Fardella, this is the long and wide street to Erice and it is out of the centre.

Holy celabrations in Trapani take place all over the year. The processions and holy celabrations are nice to see and there is always a relaxed atmosphere.
Marsala

Marsala south of Trapani on the coast, a 45 minutes drive. Beautiful city with an old centre, here originates the famous Marsala wine. The salt mining area with the old mills is fantastic to visit.
