San Vito Lo Capo (Sicilian: San Vitu) is a small holiday resort and part of the province of Trapani. You can find San Vito Lo Capo at an hour driving to the North-East of Trapani city. Cous Cous festival
This international cous cous festival (Fest) started in 1998 and is a highlight during the season. Cous cous was introduced to the region of Trapani already centuries ago and is still a favorite dish of the Sicilians. During this festival, which takes place in September and lasts for a week, there is a competition amoung international top chefs out of the countries of France, Israel, Italy, Marocco, Senegal and Tunesia to prepare the best cous cous. The festival is as well a gastronomic festival as a cultural festival. The Cous Cous Fest is very worthwile visiting.

Hiking San Vito Lo Capo
The impressive mountains close to San Vito lo Capo are popular by hikers and climbers. From the beach you have a great view over the largest peak. This mountain houses some caves to explore. To climb here you have to be experienced and you need to use climbing gear. Some caves you can visit by foot such as the cave “Caverna della Capra Guasto,”.
